Centre Philosophy The Long Day Care Centre provides high quality care for the children and families of the community. The Kogarah Uniting Church established the Long Day Care Centre and remains actively involved in supporting the centre through the many on-going services which they offer. This is a reflection of God's love through their Christian faith providing our building, grounds and material resources to the local community. The church shows an honest loving and nurturing side for everyone who is involved within the centre by offering many additional services for the clients of the local community. With regard to the Children We believe that all children should be treated with equality and their cultural and linguistic diversity embraced and acknowledged. With regard to the Community The centre is committed to providing high quality service in response to the needs of the community. We work in collaboration with other community services such as government departments. Area Health Services, early intervention and multicultural resource centres in the area through inter-communication and referrals. We interact with a variety of community groups such as libraries, resource centres and other child care centres through outings and hosting special events. With regard to the families - We believe that all families have the right to be consulted about and involved in their child's development and education. We involve families as partners to gather a comprehensive picture of the whole child. The full Centre Philosophy can be downloaded here
